A representative from SM Entertainment stated, “Jonghyun has recovered his health and will perform the title song ‘Why So Serious?’ on the May 23 broadcast of Mnet’s ‘M!Countdown.’ With Jonghyun joining forces for the already impressive song, you will be able to see a more powerful SHINee performance.”

The representative also added, “SHINee, who is coming up to its fifth anniversary, will be hosting a special party called ‘SHINee Day‘ on May 25. Jonghyun and the rest of the members will all attend and have an enjoyable meeting with fans.”

080522 SHINee’s First Performance at M!Countdown (by guitarlegs)

SHINee’s first performance in M!Countdown on May 22, 2008. This performance was not broadcasted on TV, their official debut was 3 days later on SBS Inkigayo (May 25, 2008).

Many doubted if this was actually live, they’re too good for a rookie :D. According to the owner of this video(she was there when SHINee performed), the performance is live. 

Also, Taemin got the most cheers because he was the most popular even before debut. 

(fun fact: Taemin and Jonghyun already have fancafes since being trainees)
